A Very Good Question, Indeed

I know, I know, they are "doing jobs no one else will do." So what? Is this justification for allowing them to stay and drain our money and physical resources? This is not the issue, though, only a diversion. The actual issue is that we are being overrun by illegal aliens (not immigrants). We do not have an "Immigration Problem." Today's crisis is a result of not protecting our borders, and that is the problem.
The next term I need to define, or more approriately differentiate, is the "Office of the President" (OOP). This is the highest elective office in our nation and deserving of all our respect, so the shorthand term "OOP" is not intended to show disrespect. OOP is intended as different usage than "our President," which will, naturally, refer to the person who occupies the highest elective office in our nation.
We live in interesting times, do we not? The flood of I-As over our southern border has generated a politically-correct circus, in which everyone who is against illegal entry is vilified as a "racist" or "bigot" who hates immigrants. Do I hate immigrants? Of course not; my anscestors were immigrants. Am I a racist? Well, in some ways I probably am because it seems to me that everyone has a bit of this in their makeup. But do I catagorize people by stereotypes according to skin color or national decent or religious background? I honestly do not believe I do ... at least, I try not to fall into that trap.
One of the nasty things about this I-A business, though, is that it enables some people to make race an issue when race has nothing to do with the problem. The "racist" label is effective (beause most of us have a bit of this in our makeup), and is thus an excellent means by which the people who hurl this accusation are able to bully or shame Americans into accepting I-As, regardless of who these people are and from where they come. The government is doing this, churches are doing it from pulpits, are schools are getting into the act. The liberal media are leading the charge in at least two ways: By being overly sympathetic to I-As (even though their problems are brought on by their illegal presence); and by neglecting to cover the real problem of our nation being invaded and the financial drain this is causing.
Let us be clear, this invasion of illegal aliens has nothing to do with racism or bigotry (although these can be some manifestations of class warfare that sometimes occurs when people are unwillingly forced together). The invasion has everything to do with our President's plan to participate in merging the United States and Mexico, along with Canada, into a "Community" along the lines of the European Union. Some other partners in This Plan are Mexican and Canadian government officials. Yet our President is a willing participant, and these plans are moving along in concert with the international elitists and financiers who are really running things, so let us not place the blame on, or give credit solely to, our President (after all, it wasn't his idea).
It is obvious that the I-A crisis was a planned strategy to make a problem so large that it could not be solved and must instead be accomodated. After all, is it really credible to believe that, after 9/11 and with all the Homeland Security apparatus, we suddenly were not able to control the southern border and this crisis erupted? We had the resources ... hey, we mobilized and invaded Iraq. No, we had the resources but they were not used were they were needed, and this makes the term "Homeland Security" the oxymoron of the century. The Fed did not lift a finger to safeguard our citizens, and has vilified the Minutmen when these patriots began doing what the Fed should have been doing all along ... providing for the common defense. Our southern border was not, and is not, controlled because our Federal government did not want to control it, and still does not want it controlled.
Now our Senate has voted to give to I-As Social Security benefits. Immigraton laws are openly flaunted, regardless of the rhetoric about hiring illegals. A "Please Speak English" sign at a fast-food restaurant recently brought down the wrath of negative public opinion. Isn't it obvious what is happening? This invasion, and the requisite rush to accomodate the I-As, is an important part of an agenda to make the United States go away. And going away we are ... if not in name, certainly in substance. The biggest problem is that this has happened so gradually, at least until recently, that everyone seems to have not noticed. Have you noticed changes in our society and in our culture? Do you like these changes?
We were once united. We were a nation united in purpose. We were united in an undying thirst for individual freedom and responsibility. We had a common language, and a common heritage that shared a common pride in our sovereignty and our place, and responsibility, as the leader of the world. It now seems as if we are divided on almost all fronts. We cannot seem to agree on anything except, according to the media, how evil and destructive is anything not touting diversity and tolerance over unity and individual responsibility. This has been done to prepare us for a merger with Canada and Mexico.
Our collective identity--the cultural and societal cohesion that united Americans--is being torn apart by all this forced diversity. We are now mostly a pack of bickering special-interest groups, all shouting and waving our hands to gain the approval of a politically correct elite. To make matters worse, we have let it happen. We sat back and did nothing when our President courted and went to bed with Mexico's President Fox. Congress sells us out at every opportunity, yet we continue electing the same pack of politicians who regularly violate their sacred oath of allegiance to our Constituition. Even when it gags us, we still sit and let the politically-correct media, politicians, lawyers, teachers and clergy cram diversity down our throats until we are afraid to even admit we love our country.
I'll cogitate on this for a bit, them come back with more. But, in a nutshell, This is why we have to press '1' for English!
